Aircon servicing, Pretoria East
A serviced aircon runs cooler and costs less
Dust and mould quietly steal cooling capacity and push up your bill. A proper service restores it, keeps the air healthy and keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.
What a full service includes
- Filters washed and sanitised — the first line of defence for airflow and air quality
- Indoor coil deep cleaned — where dust and mould build up and steal cooling capacity
- Drain pan and line flushed — the number one cause of indoor water leaks
- Outdoor unit cleaned and checked — a choked condenser makes the compressor work overtime
- Gas pressures and temperatures tested — we catch slow leaks before they kill the compressor
- Electrical connections inspected — loose terminals are a fire and breaker-trip risk
Signs your aircon is asking for a service
Any of these usually means the unit is working harder than it should.
- Weaker airflow than last summer — blocked filters or a dirty coil
- A musty smell when it starts — mould on the coil or in the drain pan
- Water dripping from the indoor unit — a drain line starting to block
- Longer to cool the room than it used to — lost capacity, sometimes a slow gas leak
- A higher electricity bill with the same use — a dirty unit can use 15 to 25 percent more power
What clients say
Two units serviced in a morning. They showed me photos of the coil before and after the clean, which was honestly a bit shocking. The bedroom unit is noticeably colder now.
Booked a service because of a damp smell. Deep clean sorted it completely and the technician showed me how to rinse the filters between services.

Servicing questions
Once a year for a home unit, twice a year if it runs daily or in a dusty environment. Business premises usually need a maintenance plan, which we set up under our commercial service.
About an hour per unit for a standard service, a little longer if the coil needs a proper deep clean.
Most manufacturers require proof of regular servicing by a registered installer for warranty claims. We give you a service record after every visit, so keep those.
Mould and bacteria on the indoor coil and in the drain pan. A deep clean removes it. If the smell returns quickly, the unit may be oversized and not dehumidifying properly, which we can check.
A dirty unit can quietly use 15 to 25 percent more electricity to do the same job. A service usually pays for itself over a summer, and it is far cheaper than the repair it prevents.
Book your service before the heat arrives
Spring services book up quickly once the first hot week hits. A serviced unit starts summer at full capacity instead of fighting through a season of dust.
